The history of this company actually dates back to the founding of Cryogas Products in January of 1974. That company was 'organized by Erman C. Savant, to operate as a wholesaler of industrial bulk and compressed gases to welding supply distributors and some direct bulk gas accounts. He was joined by Cliff McGuinn, a former officer of National Cylinder Gas Co. In March of 1976, Ed Savant fitted the vacancy left by the untimely death of Mr. McGuinn.

Savant Welding Supply was organized in December, 1976.

July of 1988 saw the formation of a new entity, Unified Companies, Inc. This was now the holding company for Savant Welding Supply and Quinn Welding Supply Center, Inc.

In July of 1989, Ed Savant purchased , AAMED Inc., an old (40 years), well known Distributor of medical supplies, similar to our medical division.

In October of 2004, Savant Medical Supplies, Inc was purchased by Medical Supply Acquisitions, LLC and has continued operation as Savant Medical Supply, LLC
